Every day we see one out of every three people complaining about their health being disturbed
and the most prominent reason for it is mental health. Our well-being depends upon us being
physically as well as mentally fit. The definition of mental health can be different. It varies from
person to person. For me, it can be comfortable and happy in the environment that I live but for
others, it can be something else. The basic definition can be emotional, psychological, and social
well-being. If mentally we feel disturbed, it affects our whole system. It can totally change the
way we take stress, relate to others, and make choices. The main key aspects of mental health are
emotional well-being, psychological well-being, and social well-being. People feel too ashamed to
talk about their problems. But that's not the case, it is necessary to find someone to talk to and vent out all our problems that always make you feel better. Some think mental asylums or
rushing over to doctors and taking pills can treat you but it’s actually the opposite. Taking pills
can give you relief for a short span of time but cannot solve your inner problems.
This problem is becoming more prominent every year, being most common among teenagers.
The 21st century has witnessed a rapid growth of technology particularly in telecommunications.
As the teens get attracted to the new devices just launched in the market, they get forced into
this loop ultimately buying it. This makes them vulnerable to getting involved in watching a lot of
content online on Handphones, leading to frustration and over-expectations. Peer-to-peer
pressure is building up on each other with no real friends. You may have hundreds of friends
online but do you really have a friend you can depend upon? This loneliness in turn builds anger
and ultimately leads to depression.
Good mental health is essential for overall well-being, impacting everything from physical
health to relationships and productivity. It’s important to recognize that mental health can
fluctuate over time and is influenced by various factors, including genetics, environment, and
life experiences.
